This policy explains how payments work when you shop with Londonmy: which methods we accept, how your details are kept safe, when you are charged, and what happens if a payment does not go through. Our aim is to make paying for your order as simple and secure as possible.

How payments are processed
All payments are handled securely through Shopify Payments, our trusted payment provider. When you pay, your details are passed directly to Shopify Payments and its banking partners to authorise the transaction. This means your payment is processed by an established, PCI-compliant provider rather than handled manually by us.
Currency
All prices on our website are displayed and charged in British Pounds Sterling (GBP, £). If you are paying with a card issued in another currency, your bank may apply its own conversion rate and fees; any such charges are set by your bank and are outside our control.
When you are charged
Payment is taken at the point you place your order. Authorising the payment confirms your order and allows us to begin processing it. If for any reason we are unable to fulfil your order after payment has been taken, we will contact you and arrange a full refund.
Secure processing
Keeping your information safe is a priority. Our website uses SSL encryption to protect data as it travels between your device and our systems, and payments are handled in line with PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) requirements. Importantly, we do not see or store your full card details — these are handled entirely by Shopify Payments and its certified partners.
3D Secure verification
To protect against fraud, your card issuer may ask you to complete an additional verification step at checkout, such as 3D Secure (for example Visa Secure or Mastercard Identity Check). You may be prompted to confirm the payment through your banking app or a one-time passcode. This extra step helps keep your account safe and is managed by your bank.
Failed or declined payments
If a payment is declined, your order will not be completed. Common reasons include:
- Insufficient funds in the account;
- Incorrect card number, expiry date or security code;
- The billing address entered not matching the one held by your bank;
- An expired or blocked card;
- Your bank declining the transaction as part of its own security checks.
If your payment fails, please check your details and try again, or use an alternative payment method. If the problem continues, contact your bank or card issuer, as they are best placed to explain the decline.
Pricing and VAT
All prices shown on our website are inclusive of any applicable UK Value Added Tax (VAT). The price you see is the price you pay for the goods, with any delivery charge shown separately and added at checkout before you confirm your order. We make every effort to ensure pricing is accurate, but in the rare event of an obvious pricing error we reserve the right to cancel the affected order and refund you in full.
Refunds
Refunds are processed in accordance with our Return & Refund Policy. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method, and the timescales described in that policy apply.
Chargebacks
If you have a concern about a payment or an order, please contact us first — we will always try to resolve any issue quickly and fairly. Raising a chargeback with your bank before giving us the chance to help can delay a resolution. We take fraudulent or unjustified chargebacks seriously and reserve the right to challenge them with supporting evidence.
Fraud prevention
To protect both you and us, orders may be subject to automated and manual fraud-prevention checks. In some cases we may need to verify additional information before dispatching an order. Where an order is identified as potentially fraudulent, we reserve the right to cancel it and issue a refund.
